INSTAGRAM IMPORTANT NEW UPDATE 2021
Instagram has become one of the most popular social media platforms on the planet. It is now acknowledged to generate the best engagement rates with over 1 billion users. The platform, on the other hand, isn’t only expanding; it’s also changing.
That’s why we’re going to discuss all of the new Instagram updates for 2021 that have been released recently.
1.A new “audio” tab has been added to help you find reels that use your music.
In the Instagram app, a new audio tab has debuted. When users select the audio option, they can search for reels by song.
When users try to find a song on Instagram, the app, like other music applications, will show them a list of songs with the same name.
When users select a music, Instagram displays a 30-second sequence and reels containing that song.
Users can also save music to use later or make a reel right away by selecting “use audio” from the drop-down menu.
2.More Protection of Teen Accounts on Instagram
Users under the age of 18 will benefit from improved identity protection as a result of the latest Instagram upgrade. The following security features are available on the platform:
When kids under the age of 16 join Instagram, they will be given a private account; by default, adults will not be able to contact teens who do not want to hear from them.
Advertisers’ ability to reach young people on Instagram and Facebook is limited.
In summary, Instagram is attempting to shield teenagers from receiving messages from adults engaged in “suspicious activities” and prohibiting them from initiating inappropriate contact with them.
3.Instagram introduces “Limits”- a new feature to hide abusive messages
Instagram has launched a new feature that tries to shield users from nasty comments and direct messages.
Limit is a new tool that allows users to filter or hide comments and messages from persons who are not on their follower’s list or who have recently become followers.
The new Instagram function is designed to keep public figures safe from unpleasant comments and communications.
The option comes amid an uptick in unpleasant comments directed at UK football players in the run-up to the Euro 2020 final.
Instagram creators and famous personalities frequently receive unpleasant comments from profiles that are not on their followers’ list or from individuals who have only recently followed them, according to the firm.
The feature, however, is available to all Instagram users worldwide.
To activate the option:
- Got to settings
- Click privacy
- Click Limits and choose what group you would like to limit and for how long.
- Click turn on
Instagram also sends out a clear message to its users, urging them not to submit comments with potentially objectionable information. Another alternative for users’ protection is to employ secret words in direct messages.
Users can use this feature to filter objectionable words, phrases, and emojis, which are then redirected to a separate “hidden” folder.
To locate this option, go to:
- Go to the settings menu.
- Click on “privacy.”
- To reveal the hidden words, click on them.
- Select the items you want to filter.
In addition, users are given the option of adding words that they believe are offensive to the list of words that Instagram considers offensive.
4.Instagram tests ads in its Shop tab
Instagram is experimenting with a new feature that will allow businesses to place advertisements under the shopping tab.
The advertisements can be displayed as a single image or a carousel, and they will, of course, be shoppable.
Users will be taken to the product page after clicking on the adverts, where they may learn more about the product they selected.
Instagram just unveiled advertising in reals that look like any other real with the exception of a sponsored tab on these brief movies.
